Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds Grenville, and Mayor Nancy Peckford dropped by the site to see how things were going.
Contractor Corey Lockwood joined Janne and Cora in showing our guests around the building.
Thank you to everyone who helped out - to those who made baked goods, helped prepare the food and to those who helped at the sale. We couldn't do these events without you.
Many of the purchasers at the auction commented on the great homemade food that we provided. This included egg, and ham and cheese bunwiches, as well as muffins and other baked goods.
Time for a rest after another successful event. The sale was near Oxford Station and started out very rainy and wet. Still we were able to raise $1,000.
Awesome!
We are so thankful that on June 3, 2024 we were able to hold our "Ground Breaking Ceremony", at Jones Street, Kemptville.
We were joined by many guests from the community as well as individuals involved with the building.
Starting at the left, are Mayor Nancy Peckford, Contractor Corey Lockwood, Directors - Mary Ritskes, Janne Ritskes, and Cathy Ashby, and Michael Barrette, the Local Member of Parliament.
A beautiful summer morning with supporters was a great way to get the project underway!
We believe in the power of community. That's why we're working to develop and strengthen our community through this affordable housing project.
Join us in making a difference. Whether you want to donate, volunteer, or simply learn more, there are many ways to get involved and support our work.
